What makes the Maclaren good for travelling, KellsBells? I'm also looking for a stroller to travel with, one that is light and folds up small ... I was just going to buy a cheap supermarket one though ;-) edited by nix.dubai on 11/04/2011 nix.dubai the Maclaren is a lightweight umbrella fold stroller. I travelled with my first DS at least 20 times and found it a godsend every time. It's light and small enough that I could pop it on the trolley with my luggage and carry DD if I needed to (first in a sling and when older /heavier i'd stick him on the little parcel shelf part of the trolley or have him in one arm. It's also light enough that I could pull along a suitcase while steering DS in it with my other hand. It folds easily and single handed...which is great when you have a tired child in your arms. It reclines (the XT and a few others) so it's great if they all asleep. It's easy to clean and it's durable. Like I said, ours has travelled loads, been used heaps around Dubai and after a quick clean, looks almost brand new. One of our best buys by far. DS is now 3 1/2 and still goes in it at times.

Yeah JoannaS, I love my cameleon too ;) I just need one for back home so I don't have to travel with any sort of stroller at all, regardless of size/weight. The less pieces of luggage I have when I travel on my own with bub, the better! ;) thats a good thinking! :)

I am not selling, but bought bugaboo cameleon 2nd hand and it was the best investment ever! Did not travel with it though (found it too bulky to travel with and was afraid of the bugaboo being damaged by the luggage handlers). Bought mclaren for travel (its light, easy to fold and possible to leave it at the door on the plane). Saying this had my eyes on silvercross fizz, but it was only available on line.

Its not for traveling, but do you also have the travel bag to come with it anyway?
