i am with Dr Raj and have no complaints so far. Im 24 weeks. She is very chilled out, polite and warm. I really liked her as she is very hands off with me as im quite relaxed. Friends delivered with her and she was just what they needed.
So far all good for me. Im seeing her tomorrow for my 24 weeks check up and Gestational testing.
I also want to point out that ive not waited more than 15 mins to see her so i really cant complain
Hi - any reviews on A.C. Rajalakshmi at American hospital or Anne Philip at City?
Thanks
I' ve heard very favourable reviews of Dr Phillip and will be seeing her myself in August for my 12 weeks scan. She seems to be very busy and I initially tried to make an appt with her to confirm pregnancy but could get no appointments for 6 weeks hence booked a 12 week scan instead! If you choose her be warned to book well in advance!
Need advise on Doctors too - I was thinking American hospital I have been told Dr Raj or Dr Braithwaite but does any one have any opinions on this - hoping to try and book my 12week appointment tomorrow as everywhere gets busy here fast apparently....
Congratulations! I would decide where you want to be treated and maybe by who and book an appointment. I know my obs is impossible to get an initial appointment for several weeks.
Soooo excited for you (even though I don't know you) and even a tiny bit jealous (found put today Im not preggers again).
Just enjoy the news and be happy. There's plenty if time for everything else :)
Huge congratulations!
Thanks Flydiver11... hopefully you get the good news soon ... wishing you all the best...
Congratulations.... I'm in my 5th week..i can totally feel the limbo state!. I found out last week too... i was very excited initially (still am) but getting anxious as i really want to know whats happening inside... if everything is going well etc... i have my first scan booked at the end of week 6... i dont have any morning sickness etc... [b'>just very breathless strangely[/b'>...anyone wiht experience please advice if exercising is ok? hot yoga etc? also advice on diet plans would really help :)
BTW I have downloaded a few cool apps (im expecting, sprout, babycentre and what to expect pregnancy version) and registered on babycentre... so that keeping me engaged for now
Breathlessness is one of the signs of anemia which is very common when pregnant. It was the first sign I had of being anemic during my last pregnancy. I'd take some iron supplements or you could get your iron levels checked if you wanted to make sure.
It's not advisable to take up any new forms of exercise when you are pregnant. If you already do yoga, continue to do so but make sure it's under the guidance of someone who knows about pregnancy, there are some positions that aren't advisable when pregnant. No idea if hot yoga is ok, that would be something to check with an experienced yogi. Swimming is great low impact exercise when pregnant. As for diet, just a good healthy balanced diet is best.
Thanks a lot Daza... ill surely get my iron levels checked, i had heard from someone that i could have some vitamin deficiency and you reiterated it so definitely worth checking..
i guess swimming should be doable till i find a good prenatal yoga class... please do suggest if you know of any good class
Thanks

Thank you all so much - so I just need to relax for the next few weeks then - sounds good to me :) x i was concerned that getting a doctor to confirm would be a waste of time.
Saggi_1 - congratulations to you and good luck with your first scan - I haven't checked but doesn't sound like hot yoga is the best form of exercise - i think pre-natel Pilates and Yoga is better ?

Congratulations! I wouldn't do anything at this stage other than just enjoy the good news. If you have a doctor you would like specifically, call to book for a few weeks time. As the other ladies say 8- 10 weeks is a good time. You don't need a blood test to 'confirm' the pregnancy, a positive home test is proof enough, doing a further blood test is completely unnecessary and just another way of getting some extra money out of you - that goes on a lot here with pregnancy.
Huge congratulations! I found out v early on I was pregnant too. Is nothing much to do so soon. If u go too early for a scan thy have to do it internally which I didn't fancy so if you want a normal scan go when you're about 10 weeks for your first.
Good Evening Ladies,
I am hoping some of you can help - I found out yesterday I was pregnant (planned yeyyy) So what do I do now ?
I purchased a BUPA package a few months back to cover me for labour and am planning to get purchase an antenatel package most likely from American Hospital but do I need to do anything before my 12week scan ?
Very early stages i'm only 4weeks but feel a bit in limbo now :(
By the way taking all vitamins and folic acid for months already x
