Just got back from doctor's who checked and re-checked and everything seems to be fine, so I can relax now.
Maybe it's just a phase, just like the roaring he has also just taken to :)
Thank you all Ladies!
Hmmm....8 mo. old baby with ear problems (however minor they are) + airplane pressure = BAAAAAD combination!!!! I would get it double and triple checked waaaay before the flight, so if there's a problem there's time for the medicine given to take effect...don't wait til last minute!!!
He has only been doing the last 4 - 5 days. A bit worried now, as we are getting on a plane in a couple of days and if it is an infection this is bad news
Yes he is and sometimes he pinches the ear too! Was at the paediatrician yesterday for a final follow-up visit on the cold he has just had, and dr did check his ears but said it all looked good.
I did mention the head hitting but she did not give it much importance ...
Hmmm, does he do it all the time? Or just sometimes - could be just a quirky phase. If he keeps at it, I might bring him to Dr John - or some other ENT - to see if there isn't something else wrong. Drs check for infection, but there can be water in the ear or something of that nature (not quite sure, but friend's son had something like that)

DS has just turned 8 months and in the past week he has started patting and sometimes hitting with his left knuckle his head. Has anyone had this happen with their LO? Any ideas of what it could be?
