I am 10+ weeks pregnant with twins and my two toddler DS's have just come down with chickenpox. I am about 90% sure that I had chickenpox as a child.

Does anyone have any direct experience with this? I have googled but there is so much conflicting information.....:\:

My neighbour had the same issue and had to have her blood tested for anitbodies. She was fine but i don't know if you haven't had it.

It's my understanding that it's OK if you've had it- but definitely worth talking to GP. Can you find out from someone at home if you had it? Yes, trying to get hold of my mum but that ain't easy!!!! I have left messages at Al Wasl but they want me to go in - and I can't. DH is overseas at the moment and I am in-between helpers..... so I can't drag around two highly contagious boys with my while I sit and wait 2 hours at Al Wasl. I have also left a message with my OB/GN in Australia, but they are closed now so will have to wait until tom. I just thought there may be someone on the board who has been in the same situation and may be able to ease my mind until such time as I can speak to someone reliable. BTW, I did ask the Paed who diagnosed (if you can call it that) my children this morning and she dismissed it and told me not to worry. Then I came home and started googling - which is when I got a bit worried......

I'd have thought a GP could draw blood to test your immunity levels. Dr. Nicola at the Dubai London Clinic is superb, and usually available for an appointment the same or next day.

Proably better to call your OBGN. I agree with Izzy99. Give your OBGN a call today and explain the situation and get some professional advice. Google is full of conflicting medical information and so will the EW ladies be! Hope your children recover quickly and dont have chicken pox badly and best of luck with the pregnancy.
