thanks guys. your reviews certainly help..i have just visited dr janaki once but i have decided to go on with her..really want to do water birth but believe welcare does not have that facility :-( im doing antenatal classes and the instructor was initially working in welcare as well and had some very positive reviews about Dr. Janaki :-) just changing gyni so wanted to make sure i am in good hands this time. xoxo

i'm with Dr. Janaki too... due on 2nd feb... have had two appointments with her so far and find her approachable, professional and she has a very 'no-nonsense' attitude... don't expect a lot of mollycoddling but she surely knows what she's doing... :) all the best! :)

I'd go with Dr Janaki. Agree with Swarovski, I was with Dr Shiva for first pregnancy and you are in and out of appts and felt like a whole waste of time as no information was offered and questions were dealt with in a real hurry. Shame, as I think she is a good dr but has way too many patients. Admin at Medcare also an absolute nightmare!! - Although I'm sure not everyone has had that experience, I may have just been unlucky. For second pregnancy it was a choice between Dr Janaki and Dr Rag at American. I found Dr Janaki to be really professional and compassionate. However, I clicked with Dr Raj and really liked her and preferred AH. But would have been more than happy with Dr Janaki and also liked midwives at Welcare when I had a look around.

DR Shiva is way too busy, I would try other options, as I dont feel I get much of her attention at my appointments.. HTH

I am with Dr Janaki currently, due to deliver in early October. My personal experience with her has been very good so far (fingers crossed it stays that way). I like the fact that she's quite experienced, relaxed (doesn't worry you unnecessarily) and very pro-natural birth. This suits me perfectly. HTH

i delivered both my babies under the care of Dr. Janaki. She is the best you will find in dxb...nothing negative to say about her.. although her waiting time to get the first appointment for new patients is quite long, but worth it..
