I may be totally wrong, but have you just arrived in Dubai? We had terrible problems when we first arrived as I was using Pampers nappies (normal ones? - are they called active fit or the such), but I found them such poor quality against the UK version. I now use the Pampers Premium nappies and the problem has disappeared. Pampers Premium is more similar to the UK normal nappies (I can't think of all the different versions that they are called). My DS got put into the wrong nappy at nursery the other day and his nappy rash was straight back! Could be barking up the wrong tree, but it could be worth a try. Hi :) I'm not actually in Dubai yet, well, DH is so I've been travelling too and fro since September. I've always used the same nappies from England so far so. I may try changiing the brand though as I suppose it could be this that is causing it. It never really occured to me that the nappy could be the problem...It is something I will definitely bear in mind though when I do finally arrive for good in just under 4 weeks.

She does drink a lot of water but I will try and get more down her to try and dilute her. I must say nappy free time in Dubai with an un-potty trained little one is much easier without the carpets so this helps a lot. I just wish I knew what caused it or what I could do to get her less sensitive, other than potty training which shes not quite ready for.

Does she drink plenty of water? This could lower the acidity of her urine. Give her lots of nappy free time to "air" her bottom out too - a little Vit D works a treat.

My DD (17 months) has always had a sensitive bum since being a baby and gets sore pretty quickly if we don’t catch a full nappy straight away. It gradually toughened up but lately it’s been getting really bad again. The only thing I seem to be able to put this down to is fruit. She will always chose fruit as a snack over anything else, including crisps and chocolate. That’s the only thing I can think of that could be causing this due to the acidity of the fruit. Does anyone else have this problem? We’ve been to the drs numerous times and they have given us every cream on the market, which works to clear the problem, but I’d prefer a prevention rather than having to cure it every time.
