Hi Ladies,
As some of you know, my 7 month old DS was a pretty poor sleeper for a while but we got through that stage and until very recently he was sleeping beautifully for around 11-12 hours at night. We used to tuck him in with a sheet but have had to remove that as he could wriggle out and we were worried he would get his face under it. So now he rolls ALL over the place - amazing really how much he can move (we have a video monitor). But with this new found freedom comes the problem of rolling onto the sides of the cot and banging his head...poor wee thing wakes up and throws a big tanty when that happens! Angry crying and lots of banging of legs up and down! How can we help him learn the dimensions of his cot....I know bumpers are a big no no...he also somehow manages to end up lengthways and he is almost as tall as this space so bangs his head...
Has anyone got any suggestions or do they eventually just work it out?
Yawn....

hey kiwi - just ordered the airwrap this morning! Got the deluxe version which has a wee bit of padding so hopefully will help! DS loves to sleep on his side and tummy now - guess he will work it out eventually! poor wee man though, you should see and hear the tantrums lol...

until recently we used the [url=http://www.safetsleep.com/shop/cot-bumpers/aiwrap-full-protection-system'>airwrap mesh cot bumper[/url'> to keep DS from getting arms and legs stuck out the side and the sleep wrap [url=http://www.safetsleep.com/shop/safe-t-sleep-sleepwrap-key-b/classic-sleepwrap'>the sleep wrap[/url'> for a short while to keep him from rolling on his tummy. Once we stopped using the belt he more or less always slept face down, across the bed with his head hitting one end and feet against the other. They seem to figure it out eventually, I think you just have to grin and bear it tbh as its a bit like how they have to shut their fingers in the cupboard a few times to learn how to open them carefully (school of hard knocks in my house clearly). btw have emailed you a link to my facebook album of DS's favourite sleeping positions, for your viewing pleasure. :)
