You can leave it at the bottom, inside so there are no worries. We left it and the diaper bag and it was fine. I took the baby up in the carrier (DS 4 weeks old) without any problems whatsoever.

thanks so much for the replies - ladies that have been, do you know if they will allow us to leave the pram at the bottom?

We took ds up when he was 2 weeks old (my parents were in town!). I was worried about his ears but he didn't even notice. I did take a dummy with me but he didn't want it, I think he might have even slept one of the trips. They won't let you take your pram up so if you have a sling that's good, we ended up carrying him.

The lifts and such things are quite small and there are a few escalators, dont suppose you have a baby bjorn that LO can go in instead of a pram. i dont think taking a pram is impossible just not really practicle. Also a dummy or such thigns to help with popping of the ears and i think he will be fine.

personally had no experience, but with the ear popping that happens when u go up in the lift, i would liken it to when you take off on a plane and the babies cry their little hearts out because they do not know how to pop their ears to adjust the air pressure...? not an expert, just my thoughts.... xxx
