I wasn't the person that posted this, but here is a mega list I have based on online lists and what my friends gave me. Made some notes for you if you like. Enjoy... i found it the best retail experience of my life :D Baby's Room and Other Furniture Crib Mattress and Protective Layer on Top of Mattress Fitted Sheet Crib Mobile Changing Station/Dresser Changing Pad (maybe you want an extra one for elsewhere) Moses Basket and Stand (some people prefer not to use this) Feeding Chair (never really used it, found sitting in bed easier) Décor and entertainment Lamp Rug Blinds (I suggest black out curtains/blinds - which you get in ikea) Wall decal (totally optional) Baby gym (quite useful in the 2-5 months stage i found) Breastfeeding Nursing Bras Pads (disposable or non-disposable depending on what you prefer) Nipple / Breast Cream (in case of soreness, etc) Breastfeeding Pillow (i just used my pregnancy pillow) Comfy Clothes in Which to Breastfeed (for you) Bibs (never used till i started solids) Burping Cloth (i just used tissues much of the time) Breast Pump (if you plan to pump) Baby bottles for expressed or formula if you plan to Teats Cleaner for Bottles Bottle Warmer Sterilizer Baby Clothes Onesies Sleeping Suits Going out clothes (for fun, don't get too many, and my baby was born smaller than expect so I had nothing for the first month) Baby's First Outfit (for pics etc) Mittens, Hats, Socks (for very early days for the AC, mine would never keep a mitten or hat on) Swaddling Blankets Baby Bathing, Changing, Health, etc Diapers Diaper Sealable Waste Bin (if you want, if not shopping bags into regular bin will do) Baby Wipes (i didn't use them much on baby just for mop ups and cleaning my hand, self in case of spit ups) Cotton (for wiping baby's butt with just water or just cleaning baby) Bathtub Shampoo/Baby Wash (lots of people don't use this for the first month) Sponge (for bathing baby with - i never used this) Hooded Towels or any towels really Baby Grooming Set (hair brush, nail clippers, etc) Baby Monitor Medicine cabinet Vaseline Diaper rash cream Sterile gauze and cotton Alcohol Ear buds (for cord) Baby paracetamol Syringe to feed Bandaids Torch Thermometer for Baby Nasal Aspirator (I've never used it even in the worst cold because she won't let me) Travelling Stroller Mobile or Things to Hang on Stroller for Baby's Entertainment Car Seat and Adapters Isofix base (the best money spent in my opinion :D) Random Maternity Pads Underwear that Works with Maternity Pads Misc to assess - Bumpers - Crib Skirt - Breastfeeding Cover - Baby Oil - Baby Lotion - Baby detergent
