Hi, Anyone used either of the Bambino Merino sleeping bags or Gro bags? Which tog in the A/C and did you use anything else? Have you used them from newborn? Any other makes recommended? Thanks

Shop and ship from the states. Order a few other US goodies and get it all sent over in one package. They really do sweat too much if they arnt in cotton bags. The muslin ones are really cosy and soft too, but they don't overheat :)

The Grobags are in Justkidding but they are loads cheaper online if you can get them delivered here. The difference I see with the Grobags is that they are 100% cotton, whereas the other makes seem to have polyester in the lining making them less breathable (I imagine), however, could be wrong and happy to look at alternatives and recommendations!

i got from toy's r us deira branch. it was 250 dhs for 2.5 and .5 tog together.they had them on sale last time. might be worth checking out. also saw some beautiful ones in ikea. but did't checked the togs or the stuff :\: only kept looking at designs ( pregnancy brain that time :) ) matalan also have them but they are mostly blue,pink and cream colour.

Just kidding has them, although they are dearer than overseas. I got given a mother are one, and I don't like it as much. They are a little expensive, however when you consider that they wear it around 3 times a day, compared with those fancy little outfits that people spend a lot on that they maybe wear a few times, I think they are worth it. Maybe ask around and get one off a friend that there LO has grown out of :)

Thanks for this post, I hadn't considered getting a sleeping bag till I saw this. Now I'll be sure I'll get one for my little girl when shes a couple of weeks old since the AC in our house tends to get really cold! Where can I get Grobags from? I saw Mothercare has sleeping bags, are they the same thing?

My LO loves his grobags. We use 1 tog and layer his clothes accordingly. I turn off the AC in the nursery and put it up higher in the spare room next door, and the temperature is just nice for a long sleeve pyjama top and a nappy under his bag. He started at around 10weeks though, as we swaddled him in Aden and anis Muslins till then. I also love their sleeping bags. We use a one layer aden and anis during the day, and it keeps his routine, without him getting sweaty. Currently using the 4 layer one in the uk, or his 1 tog grobags with full length pjs and a vest if its quite chilly. Note that the Aden and anis bags arnt as sturdy as the grobags though, due to the nature of the fabric. <em>edited by flydiver11 on 30/06/2012</em>
