Visit for Dr. Raoufi is 250Dhs. Normal delivery is about 4,500Dhs, but keep in mind they normally keep you only for 1 day if everything is ok :) Thanks dramaqn. But in case I never visited Dr Raoufi for consultation, could I still make her my gyne when am about to deliver in Iranian Hosp or do i need to at least visit her once, or whats the procedure. Am having my first baby on mid of May but most people say that for first baby it might come early, so am just waiting when will the baby really come. Is it in Iranian Hosp that the ultrasound costs 50 dhs? Congrats to ur baby. :) Thanks :) I think you do need to visit her and check with her on that cause she is outside of IH, she is in Arya Clinic. If you are to become her patient, you will need to show her your history docs incl. test results and all edited by dramaqn on 22/04/2011

I'm 10 weeks :) I went at 6 weeks and she did a vaginal ultrasound. I'm still deciding if I should continue to go to the Iranian Hospital (haven't confirmed with DH, still need to check with his insurance) Wow you are almost there. Good luck, inshAllah a safe delivery :) Ohh u're just starting on the difficult stage. Inshallah everything will be fine with you. Yeah am getting closer. Thank you. :)

I went last week (walk in) and took me 2.5 hours from start to finish. Can you make an appt to see a gynecologist? How about the pre-natal checkups? Do you have to tell them what tests need to be done? I really felt like I had to ask for this and that. It does look like there are more ppl going to Iranian hospital now. Unfortunately, you can't make appt., but if you selected the gyn already, call in the morn and check if she is there, then go straight there. You will have to wait though for your turn. Same with check ups. They will tell you what tests need to be done, don't worry, unless you want to have some other tests for your knowledge. As for the asking, yes, you have to ask everything if you have any questions. Don't be afraid, just do it. Thanks for your feedback dramaqn. I couldn't believe it was only 50aed for an ultrasound. I could only go on a Saturday so my DH can watch the 2 kids. So whoever is there on Saturday will c me, is that okay? Do you know when is the best time to go on a Saturday? I went around 11am and it was packed. Do they keep a folder with all your information? They gave me an ultrasound pic with a paper with my weight/BP and how many weeks I'm pregnant. I saw Dr. Fariba (spelling) and thought she was okay. I have low expectations tbh as long as they can speak and understand english, I'll be fine :) Sorry for all the questions. It's always better to go early morning, like 8 (depending if gyn is there at 8), max 9am. I think they will give you card, where they will keep your basic info (weight/BP) every time you visit. As for the doc, if you don't want any particular doc, then it's fine to see different doc :)

Congrats :) I will check with MIL today and let you know :) I can recommend Iranian gyn. but outside of hospital, she is at Arya clinic (right after Iranian consulate and nearby Iranian hospital) and her name is Dr. Raoufi. I delivered 1st child with her and now planning to deliver 2nd with her as well :) She delivers in Iranian hospital :) See her once & you will be delivering your nth baby with her. She is out of this world. HIGHLY recommend her!!

don't be afraid to ask, at the end of the day you pay for the visits. On the other hand, you can always get advice from EW, I guess that's why we are here :) but personally, don't read too much into pregnancy articles/books, otherwise you willl start exaggerating things :) just go with the flow :)

no problem. the only thing I want to comment on Iranian hospital is that they are very similar to govern.hospitals here in terms of docs and the way they explain things, meaning that they don't :D I've noticed that with all docs there I need to ask questions myself, then they will answer.
