Hi. LO is 17 months and I was planning to wean him off BF soon but iv fallen ill and need to take meds so can't BF since yesterday. Iv woken up quite engorged but hand expressing a bit just seems to make it worse, seems fuller an hour later. Any advice, how should I go about this to prevent any problems mastitis etc? PS didn't realise just how distressing DS was going to find not being able to feed! Been quite hard alround, illness making me really weak too :-(

It might be worth you getting one just to help out... basically, only pump until you no longer feel engorged and less frequently than you would usually feed your DS (so basically, only do so when you feel engorged)
