Born with a tooth

DD was born with a perfect little tooth :). However, I keep hearing conflicting stories about what to do about it! A dentist checked it when she was in NICU and said to leave it until she's 4-6 months old so they can see if it's extra or her normal milk teeth, and if it's extra to remove it. My obstetrician said to leave it or she'll have a gap till her big teeth come through. Now I've just been for her check-up at City and the paediatrician she saw said it's loose and should definitely be removed in case it falls out and she chokes on it.

What to do?!

Thanks :). I'll have a read through and discuss it with DH later. It's so confusing when you get several different opinions, and all from specialists!

Wow! Congrats, that is cool. Please see this article, mostly the 48 comments below it. It seems like an xray is the best way to go, to see how many sets of teeth are present. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-1346754/Baby-teeth-Oliver-James-Jones-born-incisors.html
