oh dear - mother of the year award i will not win - my 10 month old has 5 teeth now and i am kind of scared to brush her teeth. How do you all manage? in the bath? on your knee? obviously i cant tell her to spit the toothpaste out.... what if she swallows it? I am sure im supposed to know what to do but... help!

I have bought a baby toothbrush and toothpaste.

you may get a soft toothbrush which is worn on a finger, since she is still small, this will be more comfy for both of you as you will have full control. btw, toothpaste is advised only from 2 onwards, just use water and don't forget to clean her tongue :)

Hi there, until ds was a about 14mths and wanted to start brushing his teeth after watching us, I just used advice from a friend which was to take a flannel / face washer, wet it, put toothpaste if you want then massage the teeth and gums with your pointer finger covered in the face washer. If you put tooth paste the just be sure to use another section of face washer with just water to rinse off the toothpaste. Hth.
