Can you recommend a convertible car seat?

We are currently using the Maxi Cosi Cabriofix and easy base rear-facing for our LO. He is getting so heavy he's nearly to the weight limit for his seat and I am trying to find a good convertible car seat to purchase next. We want him to remain rear-facing until at least age 2 and then be able to turn the seat and have him in a forward facing position.

I did a lot of research and found great reviews on the Britax First Class Plus - which I believe is only available in the UK.
Does anyone have one of these seats? If so I'd love to hear your opinion on it.

My DH was supposed to buy one when he was there on business but didn't (which I am quite annoyed about). I'm considering setting up an Aramex Shop n' Ship account just so I can purchase this seat. Which brings me to another question... If I setup an account with a UK address, is it possible to change it to a US address in the future?

Can you recommend the convertible seat you have for your LO?

Is it true that the UK safety standards are much higher than the US safety standards for child seats?

Thanks for your advice!
:)

I waited (rather impatiently) :), and finally found the Britax model I was looking for on Dubizzle (the family had purchased in the UK). So difficult to find what you're looking for here sometimes.

Bumping old thread, kaba what did you end up doing? Also, has anyone seen a rearfacing (13kg +) seat locally recently? TIA BC
