no delays took around 1 hour 40 mins but we werent waiting around for long at all, it just took that long. i can see why people get offended and upset with Dr Mirza but he does know his stuff. they have a couple of concerns so have to go back in 2-3 weeks

I went to FMC for mine, and yes the whole thing took about 2 hours. I went in my lunch break too and ended up having to ring in late. Told them i was at the 'lady doctor' though so no questions asked! They seem to run late, and you have to have the blood test too, but the scan itself took about 20-30 mins from memory. Lots of sitting about beforehand though, and we probably could have turned up an hour later and gone straight in. Perhaps ring them before you leave and see if they are on schedule?

There's often a lot of criticism about Dr PM's manner - he's very odd, but I've never had a problem. This is the first I've heard of anyone questioning their expertise though! If you're worried or sensitive, ask to see the female Dr, Dr Soraya I think it was. She's much more conventional in her manner and gentle about potential issues. I've seen both many times and would go back without hestiation.

I certainly have heard good things so hopefully you will be a lucky one :) We just had some bad news and the way the Dr told us and just his attitude in general was terrible :( Knew it would be touch and go as I have heard quite a few bad things (as well as good) but thought I'd try it, just wasnt good for me :( Good luck for tomorrow, hope all goes really well :)

cakes, nt scan takes 30mins or so. have you considered going elsewhere for this scan? dr ulrich at welcare does them and so does dr george. i will not elaborate on a public forum, but fmc has a lot of false outcomes. their machine measures the nuchal fold instead of a technician meticulously measuring the area behind your baby's neck. i have personally had the worst experience with them and have refused to go back to them for anything further. good luck with the scan x

The scan itself didn't take that long for me, but I had to go back for a second scan after a 15-20 min wait as DD wasn't in a co-operative position and they tried again. There was also a wait for the results - you could surely come back after work to pick those up.
