Hi everyone. We're moving back out to Dubai in a couple of weeks and I have a few questions I'm hoping some of you may be able to help me with.
In the UK we use an isofix car seat base for our babys car seat. Can this be used out there or shall we just leave it?
When I lived out there before I didn't drive and now I do! We have a 5 month old so I really want to get out and about as soon as possible. Where are the best places/baby groups to meet other mums with a child the same kind of age?
Last question! (for now anyway :o) )
Can anyone recommend a good doctor for children? When we lived out there before I never really found anyone I was really happy with so that would really put my mind to rest especially with quite a young baby. I also have a 6 year old. Ideally a doctor that could see both children would be a bonus :o)
Thanks in advance

Hi Sarah, welcome back! 1. You will probably find that newer models of cars are all isofix compatible, I have a Nissan Qashqai which works with Isofix although it took the guy in the garage about 45 minutes to fit it in for me!! You just need to check the model of car you buying. 2. Bumps and babes coffee mornings run by Expatwoman would be good for you with your 5 month old, also google babysplashdubai for classes, LO started at 4 months and loves it. You could also try Kindermusik or there are lots of playgroups or other activities like buggyfit if you want to do a spot of exercise together with LO. 3. Would highly recommend Dr Khan at Cooper Health Clinic, thing I like most about him is that he is very reluctant to give out antibiotics unlike many other Drs, and is always reachable on his mobile in case something happens out of hours. He's fab with kids.

hi sarah, Welcome back. 1. isofix works out here but depends which car you purchase. I have a LR3 and LR2 which both have isofix 2. there are tons of coffee mornings. Some activities which I have done, loved and recommend Boogie Babies, Toptots, Water Babies (active sports). those are probably the best for a 5mth old. 3. I would recommend Dr. Gupta and many like Dr. Khan both at Cooper Clinic plus a fab midwife Debs. Also, heard good things about the GP there too. Hope that helps.
