I'm just back from holiday and didn't have to remove dd from the carrier to go through security. They told me if it beeped, I would but it didn't beep so no need.

Not necessarily so. I have managed to go through security in Birmingham, UK and in Dubai with the LO's in a sling. The sling I have does have metal buckles which sets the metal detectors off but I have been taken to one side and searched. Once, when DH has been with me they have asked that I take the baby out and pass it to him so that I can go through the the detector without the sling. On other occasions, travelling with 2 LO's I have simply been searched at both airports and let through. Suppose it depends on who you get on the day!

Yes - we had to because they wanted to put the carrier through the x-ray. Extremely annoying so be prepared!

Hi, I'm travelling for the first time with my baby. Ideally I want to get her settled before going through security in her carrier, will I be made to remove at security. I'm presuming yes but it's not easy to get her in so I'm hoping not! Thanks in advance
