You are very welcome! Rest easy. Best thing you can do. I had a million questions throughout my whole pregnancy and new to dubai (mad dr search, no real support system)..so I can relate. I am just finishing up hypno birthing as well. I hope it works! At a minimum it is very empowering and I've had a great instructor. As for Dr. Taylor...she's very on board with natural birth. However, saying and doing are two different things. I think I was a little overly specific in my birth plan and she took issue w a few things, but overall shes very easy to communicate with. (doesnt hurt shes considered one of the best here and the only one ive heard of to deliver breech babies) We'll see soon enough:) Best of luck with your pregnancy!

Thank you NewMomma for the reassurance that waiting until 28th is fine. My good friend is a Doula and she also said that since many women don't even know they are pregnant until the second month it is ok to wait and she also confirmed that many Doctors and Midwives would prefer to see you around the 8th week anyway. Now I can rest easy. By the way my Doula friend also highly reccommend the Hypnobabies course to aid in delivery. She is about to have her second baby and in addition to being an instructor for Hypnobabies she said she is also practising it for her second delivery. Also thank you for the good feedback about Dr. Taylor. I read a few positive things on this forum about her and judging from her profile on the Suliamen Clinic website it seemed that I could relate to her and would appreciate her approach to natural birth if/when possible. Good luck with your upcoming delivery, very exciting!

It is perfectly fine to wait until Aug 28th. There is not much to do/see prior. Dr. Taylor is great and I will be delivering with her any day now. I saw abt 5 different doctors before I chose her, including Dr. Yuliya for a few months (stopped when she left city as I did not want to deliver at welcare). If you are really anxious, you can go as a walk in. You may have to wait for a long while, but she will see you.

Dr. Yuliya delivers at Medcare Hospital. Got a message from Cooper Health Clinic that she joined only at the end of July....I went for my first pregnancy appointment at 6 weeks...I suggest you try several hospitals and see where you can get the nearest date for the appointment in order to make sure that everything is ok and then go with the one you like.

That's great, thank you very much. Just checked my insurance and they don't cover me at Cooper Clinic - ARGH! I want to deliver at City Hospital and all of their Doctors are so busy. I'm going to try Dr. Helena Taylor at Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Centre since she also delivers at City Hospital. The soonest I can get in is Aug 28th for my first appointment to confirm pregnancy etc. I just took at test a few days ago and another last night and they are both positive plus I've had "pregnancy" symptoms so I'm sure. The question I have now is...will it be ok to wait until the Aug 28th for my first appointment? I think at that point I will be close to 2 months along.

Is she the gyno married to the oncologist- Dr. Fadi Mikhael? If she is, he told me where she went and I'm killing myself trying to remember. Somewhere on Al Wasl - Cooper Clinic?
