I had my first one exactly 7 weeks to DD's birth. Had the coil fitted before my period ended and have not had one since. I'm hoping the coil stopped my coil and not BF. My friend's baby is 2 months younger then my DD and she has not had a period since she gave birth.

sorry to jump on this thread but how long after having a baby does it take for your periods to return? Obviously i know everyone is different but my DD is 8 months old and ive not even had a hint of a period..... i would be grateful but i cant wait for them to return so i can try for no 2 Mine came back at 9 months and I was exclusively breastfeeding. I then did not get another period for 9 more months.

Mine started back quite heavy but then got back to normal after a few months. You were lucky you had 6 months free. I had 6 weeks :(

god I hope it's not longer too....the cup normally has to be emptied 2-3 times a day max (prior to having baby) and now am emptying it almost every 2 hours :(

I was on the pill for years before getting pregnant, and when I went off it my periods remained very light, after pregnancy though, my periods have gone back to what they used to be, before all those years on the pill. Not so much heavier as longer.
