Oh. Thankfully, I never had any experience with a doctor who would do something like that. They're mostly family friends because my father is a doctor himself. Sorry if you had any bad experience. Hope everything turns out well for you. x

I took it before I found out I was pregnant, no-one asked me if I could have been pregnant and it was a bit of a surprise to find out. I was incredibly upset when I realised, the doc said it was fine but everything I've read says to not take it in first trimester. I would be cautious to take it at any stage in pregnancy it's very strong, I'd do some research and make your decision from there.

I wouldn't blindly trust any doctor. A doctor I saw advised me not to take flagyl if there was any chance I was pregnant. Although I wasn't trying to conceive at the time I waited until I had my period. The active ingredient in flagyl crosses the placenta and effects are unknown.

First of all, if your dr prescribed it to you I'm sure it's safe as long as he's aware that you're expecting. What kind of doctor would prescribe an unsafe medication anyway? :o
