Hello!
I am having my 3rd child soon, but will be my first in Dubai and at City Hospital.
As I pack my Hospital bag, I am curious what sort of things City Hospital will provide?
*Baby onsies/ shirts
*Pacifier
*breast pads
*etc.,.

Have you had a baby at City recently and can shed some light?
Thanks!

I was told my Baby was going to be HUGE (6'6" husband and 6'5" brother on my side). All my friends were told their babies would be much bigger than they were, and that might mean them coming early. We all went passed our due dates. Try not to worry too much about the size. What will be will be. Next time round Im only asking if he/she is healthy as my doctors using the word HUGE so often had me terrified and dreaming about giving birth to the Michelin man. Hope you're platelets get sorted out :) PS remember there are shops open in Dubai at all hours and friends and family are always willing to help, so if you need something here it's not the end of the world. Someone will bring it. But a tip from me.... Remember to get your husband to put your camera in his pocket. They took my bag to the recovery room when I arrived and we couldn't find the bag or the camera until nearly an hour after my little one was born. Pacifiers and onsies you can live without, photos are priceless :)

Tara.. as you know i delivered at american but i brought all my own stuff because they didnt provide much at all (they gave me a list of what to bring which pretty much included everything. lol) but i have a full box of tommy tippy brand disposable breast pads, i used one set out of the box, anyway if you want them i'll just give them to you. i can bring them when we meet for you to get the other stuff.

Aw, thanks for the well wishes ladies! :-) Golly, not even a pacifier? Oh well, glad to hear about good experiences there. I need staff around me that will be awesome! I've just been informed that the baby is estimated to be around 9lbs in utero, and my due date is one month out. (!). :-o I have also been informed that my blood platelets have dropped to a level of concern. Ah, the not so warm and fuzzy side of pregnancy. Thanks or your input. :-)

I took everything for myself and baby. But they do provide nappies, maternity pads, toiletries etc. I guess they will provide other items if you request. You can take a tour of the ward beforehand with appointment and check with the staff. Congrats and wish you the best experience

Hi, they gave us a not very pretty hospital blanket, but no clothes at all, unless you wanted something that had been left by a previous mum. No pacifier or breast pads, although your milk probably won't come in whilst you are there if it is a natural delivery. Pads and absorbant liners for the mattress were provided ( to be honest I pinched a few of the liners for home, and they were great and saved our sheets). Good luck! I'm so excited for you :)
