Tobiland, I too suffered the same backlash from others on this site. After 20+ years in Dubai I was so overjoyed. At last, a shop (TKD) that stocks well supportive, pretty bra's in large cup sizes with an added bonus of a specialist bra fitting service and changing rooms with robes. Excellent!! I immediately wanted to share this information with other ladies who have been suffering the same ill fitting bra experiences. I uploaded the information onto this site thinking ladies would be really happy but some of the comments were awful accusing me of advertising and trying to get cheap publicity whilst I have no ulterior motive other than to bring the same happiness to other ladies. Anyway, all ends well..... I purchased many sets including the best supportive support bra I have ever owned and am absolutely delighted with the result, my daughter also purchased several sets, I wouldn't buy anywhere else now. I went along to their afternoon tea on Monday and am very pleased to say that it was a huge success, many ladies there and all saying the same amazing things about the brands, Panache, Freya and many others. So to all the negative ladies out there have faith in your fellow expats ladies!!

Not sure which is really best, holistic or tape measure...It's just a guide really isn't it? From experience I think the best way is to just try bras on. I wasted so much money on ill fitting nanna bras from motherlove, destination maternity. None of them have held up well in the wash either. About half way through my pregnancy I got a Marks and Spencer bra fitting but it was a joke. The sizing was completely wrong. I took my Marks and Sparks bras straight back! The best fitting I've had by far was in my third trimester from the lady at Blush and Bloom. Made such a difference and she had gorgeous bras that lasted all through my nursing. You definitely can get a good bra fitting in Dubai.

Wow!!! Reading back over my post I suppose I do sound like I am plugging this website but I was trying to help Sweetlily and this is the only place in town that I know of that can. It's definitely not my website, I am 36 weeks pregnant with a young toddler and setting up a shop like this is well beyond me!! :\: Apologies to Glenfiddich or anyone else who was offended by my original post. It certainly was not my intention! I tend to agree with glenfiddich. Why don't you share more information about the bras? i.e. what brands are they? No point telling us they're wonderful if you won't tell us what they are. Sounds like a bit of clandestine marketing to me.

Hi! I too have had loads of trouble with finding properly fitting breastfeeding bras in Dubai too but am blissfully happy at the moment in my new bfing bras! One of my friends is opening a specialist bra shop in Dubai soon. She used me as a bit of a guinea *** and I have 4 bras that she will be stocking, 2 of which have a plastic under wire and are SO supportive!! I also have 2 without under wire and though they look lovely on (unusual for a feeding bra I know) they are not as supporting as the ones with the under wire. I also got the matching briefs too that have grown with my bump and bum- so realistic sizing and the don't dig ride up :-) The last time a spoke to her she said that she had found a specialist fitter to come and work in her shop too which is SO exciting! Perhaps drop her a line at http://www.tkdlingerie.com/, I'm sure she will be able to guide you in some sort of successful direction! Good luck!!! TL I would be so much more inclined to use a website if people didn't blatantly lie and advertise on this site - at least, admit it is yours!!

Ah I see! Thanks. Yes, tape measure fitting is very unreliable and I didn't even realize places were still doing it that way eek! Having gone around 15 years wearing ill-fitting bras (am also small-width-large-cup) I know what a difference it makes to get a proper fitting. Good luck! <em>edited by BFC on 19/12/2011</em>

A holistic bra fitting is where they don't measure you with a tape measure but look at different styles and shapes to find what fits for you. Because you can change sizes depending on what style you're looking at. So with a holistic shop they have the bras right there and check out each one you put on to see if that particular bra works for you. I suppose that's how I can best explain it. :) If I go just by my measurements alone I never get the right bra. I need to actually try them on to find the one that fits best. And with such a small band and large cup size it is hard to find a shop that has the bras in stock. I'll check out both of those links. Thanks, ladies!

Don't know what a holistic bra fitting is (but I do buy from Bravissimo!), but Loretta from Blush and Bloom does fittings and carries a wide range of nursing bras. Does anyone know where to find a holistic bra fitter here in the UAE? I'm thinking something along the lines of Bravissimo in the UK or Intimacy in the US. As a 32 L, I've been blessed with breasts that sway toward the larger side Lol and would be looking for a place that would ideally be able to turn an underwire into a nursing bra. I am the type where I have to try the bra because I need a perfect fit (I'm both pregnant and nursing and I only wear underwire so it must be perfect to avoid any blocked ducts) on so ordering off the internet would be a very, very last option for me.
