I had read on here earlier that some of you ladies feed your babies quinoa - how do you give it to them? Pureed - or just the way it is? Would love some ideas on what I can mix it with!

As well as Quinoa and millet I freeze DS's rice pudding in silicone muffin tins and then pop them in ziplock bags, works really well.

Thanks ladies. DD is now almost 9 months old so hopefully she'll eat it without it having to be pureed. Kiwispiers I like the idea of freezing it in cubes - didn't think of that :\: I only think about freezing meat and veggies! Gave her some organic baby pasta today which she seemed to enjoy (although she did store a bunch of it in her cheeks :\: ) so will try the quinoa in a day or two.

When he was younger, I would cook it in the rice cooker, then puree in the blender with water so it was like a smooth porridge, and freeze in cubes to be served with either cinnamon and fruit or vegies/meat. With a baby that handles chunks, use just as you would use rice. Always soak it overnight, then rinse before you cook in new water, takes away the bitterness.
