Important Question for all mummies with more than 1 child or expecting nr 2
I will be delivering quite soon and I am wondering if I should take my 3 year old with me to the hospital. Of course if I start getting contractions at night I wont wake him up and just call our babysitter (who will hopefully pick up the phone, lol) to take care of him till his usual wake up time. But what if it is a day thing?
My husband and I have been contemplating about this for the last week.
On one side I want to involve him with the whole process, except for the painful screaming of course, then daddy will take him to the room to play or have a snack.
On the other hand I am afraid to traumatise him, maybe he will see mummy in pain or do or say things he isnt used to.
We will be doing the whole "new baby gives a present to the big brother" thing, and it will be a really nice present he has been stalking us for + he will give a welcome gift to his sister as well. I just dont know if he should just come to visit to the hospital a day after baby is born or be there on the day itself.
