infertility advice
Hi everyone
I'm moving to Dubai next month and am in the middle of fertility treatment/investigation and would really appreciate some advice. We have been trying to conceive number two for 18 months. I've had all the routine,investigations....hsg, polyp removed plus a laparoscopy which both came up,clear. I went on clomid for two cycles but was far too sensitive to it and I'm ovulating normally anyway so don't think it is necessarily the best treatment. Our current doctor has now said that the likely cause of us not conceiving is that I have excess fluid in my uterus which isn't draining and therefore prevents implantation. He says there is nothing that can be done about it except checking the fluid levels each cycle and if,it happens to go by itself, we can try iui. Apparently everything else is functioning normally.
this is very dispiriting as we feel completely helpless and amazed that there is no treatment in this day of medical technology.
anyway, what I want to ask is firstly, has anyone experienced or heard of this condition and secondly what fertility specialist would you recommend seeing in Dubai? We are lucky enough to have the option of flying over to London to get treatment there too (we currently live in Asia so this hasn't been possible to date as the trip is too long to make regularly). Does anyone have an opinion on whether we would be better off flying to London for treatment or seeing someone in Dubai? We don't have huge amounts of money but want to get the best advice as soon possible.
thanks in advance
