Insurance, whats generally covered whats not? is it best to see chosen OB and see them from the start?

looks like hopefully I'll be covered on DH's insurance when all sorted. so wondering what is generally covered and whats not?
I found the packages easy to understand but no idea how this works! Very excited to see the doc now and feel official!
Not sure how going to decide which OB. suppose dictated by which hospital allowed.
so much to think about!!
