Baby bazaar is like a flea market for second hand baby stuff - a friend mentioned it on FB and I googled it (have tried doing a link below but not sure if I did it properly). It's on the last Sat of each month at Times Sq so there's one tomorrow - not been before but might check it out to see whether it's any good. [url=http://www.babybazaar.org/'>link[/url'> Dahin21 - sorry I can't help with the c-sec questions - I'm really hoping I don't need to have one as I want to be in hospital for as little time as possible! Have you been on the City Hosp maternity ward tours? I haven't yet but they should be able to answer all those kinds of questions.

Hi new year's baby mums It is such a great month to have a baby,so exciting to have a wonderful year start! my tum popped out as well, starting to walk like a duck and feeling few baby movements. I'm interested in this 'Bazaar' as well..Where is it located? I'm at CITY too ,haven't been there quit yet but i'm confident about it. Is the husband allowed to attend the c-section? For how long they keep you there after a c-section? thanks.

Hi Hannah33, Feeling great at the moment..energy is back to normal and the only bother im having is swollen feet when im trekking around the malls..little fat sausage feet. You must think I'm mad getting all of the gear so early, there is method to the madness though hehe. We decided to get one "big thing" every month so that our salaries arent too stretched in December just before baby is due..its working out quite well as we have got most of the main stuff now and haven't been totally broke because it :-) You mentioned a baby bazaar?! I havent heard of this, when and where will it be? Sounds interesting and would love to check it out. I am also with Anne Philip at City and shes really lovely..makes me feel very relaxed. Lots of love to you all x

Hi everyone - how are you all doing? Hope you're all feeling good. My bump has finally popped out and I'm into maternity clothes so definitely looking & feeling prenant now rather than just fat! Bean Sprout you're so organised! I'm impressed! I've done random browsing around the usual places (just kidding, mamas & papas, mothercare, babyshop etc etc etc) but not really bought anything yet. I might check out the Baby Bazaar this month or next to see what there is. Kat35 - I am also registered at City, with Dr Anne Phillip and happy there but have also heard great things about Dr Braithwaite at the American (she was the other ob/gyn I was considering) but in the end chose City as I already have a file there. Hope you're all keeping well xx

Hi there Just came accrossthis forum, I am due on the 19th Jan with my 2nd baby, very excited! For the lady who was asking about hospitals I can not fault Dr Braithwaite at the American, she is brill! She delivered my first daughter as well. Alot of my friends go to/have been to City and they highly recommend it too. Jess

Hi Kat35, I am with City Hospital and they are excellent...very confident in them. I have heard good reviews on Medcare also but I have no experience with them. I have based most of my decisions on my sister-inlaw's recommendations as she has 2 kids who both slept like a dream, are healthy and never had colic. I will give you a list of what we have got/are about to get with the weblinks (mumznbabyz is a good website and they deliver fast): Bottles: Tommee Tippee Anti-Colic and Dr. Browns Anti-Colic: http://www.mumznbabyz.com/tt-ctn-plast-feed-bottle-260mlx2-anti-colic?keyword=tommee%20tippee%20anti#.Uhxkk9Kno8U Electric Steam Steriliser: Innocence by Mothercare (with some major brands it has been known for the heating plate to rust): http://www.mothercare.com/Innosense%C2%AE-Electric-Steam-Steriliser/452876,default,pd.html#q=innosense%20range Pram: Mothercare Orb (the new and improved "Spin") - this is a fantastic and practical pram/buggy: http://www.mothercare.com/Mothercare-Orb-Pram-and-Pushchair---Cyber-Liquorice/452824,default,pd.html Baby/Changing Bag: Okiedog Visa Shuttle Bag (it's fabulous!!) - http://www.mumznbabyz.com/okiedog-viva-shuttle-bag-in-charcoal-grey?keyword=okiedog%20viva#.UhxkItKno8U Car Seat: Maxi Cosi Opal (lasts from birth up to about 3-4yrs old): http://www.mothercare.com/Maxi-Cosi-Opal-Combination-Car-Seat---Total-Black/447181,default,pd.html#q=Maxi%20Cosi If there's anything more specific that ive missed and you need to know dont hesitate to ask :-) Happy shopping x

Hi Bean Sprout, I'm feeling very well, thanks. I'm due on 27th of January. I don't know yet what I'm having, but I will let you know as soon as I do ;-) I haven't decided on a hospital yet and would be happy for any advice or suggestions. I have been looking around for baby gear the last days and find it pretty hard to find and decide on everything because there isn't as much choice as back home. So I would be happy for any suggestions on shops or brands to buy. x

Hi nateb & safiyaz! Nateb - unfortunately I'm also working up to Dec (wish I wasn't!) so won't be able to meet up apart from maybe a weekend until then. Safiyaz sorry you're suffering with migraines - can't really help as I haven't suffered with them so far but hope they pass soon.

Mich25 - congratulations, that's so exciting! I *think* we're having a little girl, that's what they told us at the 16 week scan but you never know how reliable these things are! Hopefully will be a bit more definite by the big 20 week scan! I wasn't planning to find out and leave it as a surprise, but when the sonographer asked if we wanted to know we couldn't resist finding out! No willpower at all! Bean Sprout those classes look great, but the Sat night timing doesn't work for us, which is annoying, so think we'll have to look at some of the other options.

Hi Ladies - glad our little group is growing! How is everyone feeling? I'm feeling fine and had a scan last week (16 weeks) and the little one seems to be doing fine too and was wriggling around all over the place. Haven't felt any movements yet but hopefully in the next month or so that'll start. I'm impatient to get a proper bump because right now I just look chubby! I think I'm going to deliver at City & will start having appts there from 20 weeks.

Hi Ladies! I'm so glad to see that there are others due in January too :-) I'm due to give birth to our first baby (little girl) on or around 13th January 2014. I was supposed to deliver at Medcare but unfortunately my OB wont be around in January so she referred me to a lovely OB at City Hospital and am very impressed with their professionalism and support. Any of you feeling any movement yet? Little Pops? Flutters? xxx

Hi, Glad to see there are a few more of us. Yes Xmas and New Year won't be so festive but I am glad I'll be larger in the cooler months! I had my youngest daughter at Medcare. My obs is based at the Cooper clinic and she only delivers in two hospitals. Medcare seems to get a bad press from lots of ladies on here but I had a positive experience and this week a friend had a traumatic time at City so I would recommend you find the right Dr for you and trust them. The hospitals here are all pretty good but as always people have good and bad stories to tell! I didn't have insurance either last time and our bill for a straight forward birth was under 10k + costs of Drs appointments but if you need a c-sec it could be over 25K. Most hospitals have packages. Hope the ms is disappearing shoes 23 :-)

haha Tiki35 - we'll all be rolling into the new year :) I hope I start feeling better in 10 day's time, since I'm due 10-11 days behind you and shoes23. I'm sorry to hear that you have to remove your appendix, shoes23 :( When do you have to do that? I don't have insurance either and I'm waiting for my appointment with my doctor in mid-August to ask her if she is with any particular hospital or whether I can make up my mind... From a basic google search, I think she usually uses the American hospital, but I'm not really sure :o) So any recommendations/advice is welcome! Good luck ladies :) Hope our babies play nice and don't cause us too many pregnancy woes ;)

Hi everybody, I am due Jan 10th with my 1st and I'm happy to see I will not be the only one spending Xmas and New Year's Eve rolling around the house!:-) Sickness is gone, I feel good and the bump is appearing slowly! How much you gained so far? I did my first checks and scans in Europe but now I have to chose antenatal care provider, courses and ob gyn., I don't have maternity insurance but City Hospital seems to be the one that was recommended the most here on the forum Any tips and suggestions are welcome!! xoxo

Lucky ladies! Well I'm happy that you guys are not suffering from serious MS...I wouldn't wish it upon anyone :) This is my first baby as well, but I've had one miscarriage as well. So I know how you feel Hannah33. I hope it all goes smoothly and we get to enjoy the lovely Dubai weather in Jan with them :) My DH is also keen on a boy mich25 because he has two girls...I'd be happy with either. I keep saying: I want a healthy baby - OUTSIDE of my body! (in 9 months that is!) :-) I hope the ms starts to fade away soon! Keep us posted if it turns out to be girl/boy if you find out!!
