I bought a Stokke ... THEN the IKEA Antilop ... I don't like the way the legs splay out and I did kick it quite a few times but it's so much easier to use than the Stokke - seriously could cry considering I could have bought 20 antilops for the price of the damn stokke. BOO.
And it is great to travel with/take to friend's house. I bought a bells and whistles high chair with DD but spent so much time cleaning it. Bought the IKEA one and sold the expensive one on EBay (for next to nothing). DS started using the IKEA one at 6 months with the striped cushion.
Nother fan of the Ikea high chair here - so snug DD can even sit in it at 4 months old. We are talking the dirt cheap about AED50 one, right?
Yep...dead set best affordable high chair on the market. Just needs a better harness and it would be perfect!
Excellent choice Papaye. Mine is currently almost finished its time serving baby number three. BEST investment under 100dhs, ever. :D
Got the ikea high chair with cushion...my baby looks comfy and it takes less space than what i imagined.
Thank you for your replies...helped to make up my mind.

Great decision :)
Another Ikea chair fan here. I have the multicoloured cushion and DS is so comfy in it.

You made the right choice!;)
I saw a Mama and Papas high chair being advertised on dubizzle when I was browsing yesterday, plus many others if you wanted to save yourself extras fils on buying a new one.

I LOVE the Antilop, you can literally take it outside and hose it off to clean it.Easy to wip down, no little gaps that food can get stuck in.
The tray is not adjustable, when your child is older you can use the chair without the tray by pushing it in to the table. My son is 79cm and it fits him well, he is a climber but the waistbelt seems to keep him in fine.
Also the Antilop is so cheap, if you don't like it you can just give it away. :)
juniors.
easy to clean. DS 25months ha been using it since 7months i think.
adjustable tray. i think he can easily use this for another yr or so.
but yea it doesnt have the leg parting thing.. so he tends to stand on it sometimes.
We had the Ikea one for my DS - light, easy to move around, SO easy to clean (best thing about it). Tray is removable but once fixed in place, not movable. They fit in it till about 2 yo(ish) until they're ready for sitting on a big chair. The strap to secure only goes round the waste tho - so not great for climbers!
i looked at high chair and so far im interested by ikea antilop or the babyshop branded junior the basic one at 159 aed.
Can you tell me the pros and cons of each?
Does the ikea one fit tall baby for long? The post between the legs...doesn it hurt the child legs and make bruises?
Is the tray adjustable?
THANK YOU
