Hi all,

I just took a clear blue test and it came up a strong positive - dark vertical line.

I couldn't believe it so I took the other one also and that came up positive too.

I've got an appointment at the docs tomorrow to see if they will take a blood test to confirm. How long do the results take to come back, anyone know?

Want to rush out and get a digital one just to double check.

I'm in shock :O delighted but suspicious that they are not really positive!!

Want to tell my hubby right now but have to wait to see him in person when he gets home.

Think he's psychic, I just spoke to him on the phone and he opened with "alright mama"!!!!

Eek - what are the next steps other than docs? I still feel as though my period is about to start at any time, is this normal?

Thanks for any advise ladies

Good luck for today! Twins also run in my family - eek! On my dad's side and one of his brothers was a twin. Not sure about hospitals yet - read some stories about some which make me wince a bit :O will have to check the insurance to see which if any are included... Don't feel sick yet but feel tired like I'm having to drag myself around & have some mild crampy bubbly sensations in my abdomen which is everything stretching etc. apparently according to the doc. Want to get in there and see what's happening for myself!!

Hi there, it s my first one also, n far away from mom :-(, but I m managing it. Regarding the bhcg levels, it really can t indicate anything, I ve been reading that even mom with twins had lower levels then when they were pregnant with one baby. Anyhow twins run in my moms side, grandma n mom got twins.hihi Regarding the scan I didn't t go yesterday DH was busy, so we r going today, we might see n hear the heart beating. I ve been sick these day n all food make me feel sick n throw up yesterday.u know what, I was surprised this morning adi m tracking my pregnancy every week, I noticed my billy is slightly bigger but I lost almost 1kg. We ll keep u posted. Wich hospital u go?? happy n healthy 9 months

Hey congratulations Kaamousha! Thanks for your story it all helps as this is my first pregnancy and I have no clue! My bloods came back as 123.4 yesterday so I'm going back again on Thurs to check the Bhcg level. I reckon I'm about 4 weeks. I"ve looked up 'normal' levels on the internet and they vary wildly so I'm hoping they will continue to increase and will wait to see what happens on Thursday. Yours are immense are you sure you only have one in there?! High levels can indicate twins :o) Did you see anything on your scan? Did you hear the heart beats? It's so exciting & thanks for your input much appreciated x

Congrats Ember and kadumki, I got my BFP like 2 weeks ago. It s also my first one. I ll tell u what I ve done May be it could help u. Right away when I done my hpt, I went to the hospital n told them , I had a test n if positive, so they took a urine sample n also a blood test. Right away the said urine is very positive , butte blood work does take 1 hour. I took an appointment with a doctor for the same day. Later on the lab called to confirm the results. The evening when we went to the doc with my hubby, she ve done an Ultrasound, n she said congrats but it s still early to Tell you anything but we need to rerun the blood work 48hours after the first one to check the Bhcg level. She called me after she got the results n she was dry surprised that my level instead of doubling they quintupled ( which is good according to her), It was 240 then went after 48 hours to 1100. At 5 weeks( actually it s 3 but the calculate from ur last period) we have seen both the gestational and the yolk sacs. I should be going tomorrow ( 6 weeks) to see the progress, we might hear n see the first heart beats. That s my experience n hope it will help u.

Hi Kasumki! Congratulations :o) that's wonderful news. I couldn't resist it and had to go and buy the digital test and it came up with a big fat blue cross in around 1 minute! I couldn't get the CB test which says Pregnant but will see what the doc comes back with tomorrow. Here's to healthy happy pregnancies all around x

Hi! I am in the same situation! Yesterday I took clear blue test and saw my "+" :) So let me congratulate you! I need to go to doctor too. But I have problem that I just got my Husband visa and I need to take flight to Oman these days to make visa changing. That's really scares me. We have been waiting for baby several years and after we stopped planning I got pregnant. As usually people say it happens when you are not expecting. I hope that everything will be ok. After flight I am planning to make sure that baby is in uterus. Now I'm eating carrorts because of folic acid :)
