Bright starts play gym is great too. DD used to have one and it's too easy to wash by just removing the mat. It's normally available in Babyshop edited by dramaqn on 13/06/2012

Thanks Perkynana! That's a great tip putting the playmat in the pillowcase for machine washing! It sounds like the rainforest mat is really popular :)

I second the Fisher and Paykel rainforest playmat - DD has been on it from 6 weeks and is now 5 months and still loves it. Super easy to clean - just don't forget to pop the mat in a pillowcase to wash otherwise things might start to unravel.

Thanks kiwispiers I didn't know that about the mats being washable ... The fisher price sounds much more practical ... I agree babies are messy and everything should be washable around them :)

The mamas and papas playmats look nice but are not very practical, they are not easily washed and babies tend to leak from every end! I love the fisher-price rainforest gym, very easy to take the mat part off and chuck in the wash and very portable. The songs/sounds are not too annoying either. We borrowed it for our last baby but I plan on buying it for my nest one, due in Sept.

Thanks MirdifIngrid, That's a good suggestion ... I didn't think about M&P at the outlet mall :)

Have you tried Mamas & Papas in the Outlet Mall? They sometimes have playmats.

Hi Ladies, I wanted to know if in their past sales M&P put their baby playmats/activity gyms on sale. I wanted to know if I should wait until summer surprises sales start later this month. Also does anyone know where else they have playmats? I checked babies r us and they're out of stock of all except one type. Finally can anyone recommend a certain playmat from M&P or elsewhere that their baby liked. Thanks!
