Medicare or city?
Hi everyone.
I am 24 weeks pregnant now with our first baby, due 21st October. My husband just started a new job in Dubai on Sunday and I will be following him out in 3 weeks time. I plan to have the baby in Dubai, have been looking on here at recommendations for hospitals and had been thinking of going to city as it seems to get glowing reviews apart from it being expensive. Our insurance will cover at least upto 10 000 dirhams and maybe more, but I'd rather pay extra and have peace of mind than save money but risk a bad delivery experience.
We haven't settled on a place to live once we're both out there but are considering the marina area, my husband is a little worried about how far it will mean travelling to city hospital. He found that cooper clinic is near and has british midwives working there but would mean delivering at medicare and I've read more mixed reviews about that.
I'd really appreciate any advice that people have, feel like I'm pretty blind to it all looking into it from the uk and I'm worried about waiting til I'm there to look as I'll be almost 28weeks and will need appointments pretty much as soon as I get there.
