Really want to begin using washable nappies but I am having trouble finding a bucket with a lockable lid. On reading up on washables, thought this type of lid would be necessary to prevent toddlers getting into it/ or it being knocked over accidently. Those with washable nappy experience, would really appreciate your advice. Will any bucket do ...or has anyone found a decent one with a lockable lid in Dubai anywhere? Plan to dry pail and wash every other day so needs to be big enough for that. Mothercare, Babyshop, babies r us, Carrefour investigated...no luck so far. Many thanks in advance!

Hi. I use washables on DD. Have been using them since birth and she is 9 months old. I just use a white bin with a lid from Ikea. They come in all sizes. I use a large one for rinsed nappies waiting for the wash and a smaller one to throw poopy nappies in until I get a chance to rinse them. My bins don't lock but they are great and as they are white they blend in quite well in my bathroom! :) edited by gingercat on 06/12/2012

id be interested to know as well. started cloth nappies (dry bin) 3 weeks ago with our newborn and found a green bin with a flip lid that has a frog on it from carrefour- thought it was quite cute. we also have a toddler and so far it's been ok. though it's a little small for every 2 day washing. lockable lid would be preferable - we're using bambino mio and i see they have a cute diaper pail on amazon but it looks quite small - there are lots on amazon so maybe that's the way to go?
