I am 6 weeks pregnant and was doing so well, with just exhaustion and back ache.... til i woke up this morning with nauseau and it hasnt left me all day.
Went and got some crackers to snack on but it helps only as i put food in my mouth.

Am now back to nauseau again after lunch..

How do i help this and not pile on weight by constantly snacking???? Bleugh

I've also been having that awful nausea. I've been trying to keep it at bay with the old dry crackers trick too. Like you, though, it only works momentarily. AND I'm starting to gain the carb belt around my middle. Fingers crossed this all passes soon!

Go see a homeopath, I did that when I started feeling nauseous around week 6 and she gave me a homeopathic remedy called Vertigoheel which works wonders and there is no harm for the baby. Also, don't worry too much about the weight, I have mad cravings for carbs but I'm hardly putting on weight, it must just be what the body needs at this stage!

I had horrendous nausea that lasted about 5 months, was awful in the evenings. I found cold juicy things helped like apples from the fridge and frozen grapes and ice lollys, in the evening I would try to eat marmite on toast and this helped. Xxx

I sipped a small glass of Lucozade before I got out of bed. Worked like a charm! Don't know if you can buy it in Dubai mind you!

I was unfortunate enough to have nausea and vomiting until 7 months. My Obs prescribed me a motion sickness tablet, can't believe I don't remember the name, and it took the edge off with no harm to baby. I started with dry crackers til i vomited from them, ginger til it made me sick, then hard candies til I couldn't stand the smell and then coconut water straight from a coconut. After that I can't remember what worked diet-wise apart from constant snacking on something but the wristbands made some difference, I got them from Life Pharmacy. It's truly awful but so rewarding once baby arrives and I have forgotten about the feeling of nausea, just remember being miserable for quite some time :-)

I'm at 11 weeks, and it's as bad as ever. Tried every trick under the sun and nothing worked for me. Im just ridding it out and hoping it will all magically go away in 3 weeks *sigh*

Only thing that helped me was putting some fennel seeds in my mouth, and chewing them slowly - I hate how they taste but they are a wonder for nausea!
