Thanks.

Hello plum2 I am a registered breastfeeding counsellor, and would love your contact details if at all possible as in certain cases I do refer mums for specialist support in various areas. If you could e-mail me on sian.breastfeedingqa at gmail.com I'd be really grateful. Many thanks.

Hi plum2, I would actually be interested. My DD is 18 months and is having issues with swallowing. She can still only eat purees and chokes and gags on chunks. She is a cardiac baby and has had 3 open heart surgeries. Her last surgery caused some paralyzation in her left vocal chord, but it seems to be resolved. She seems to be right on track with her speech, but the swallow issues are really becoming an issue since she is so curious to eat what we are eating. My email is gusncoley at gmail dot com. Thanks! edited by gusncoley on 24/01/2012

Hi I am a speech-language therapist and work in conjunction with an occupational therapist in looking at feeding and swallowing issues. We would be happy to see this child. Presumably this issue has been discussed with his GP? If you post an email or mob number I will contact you.

It is specifically help with nutrition you want or help with the transition to solids/dealing with lumps etc? If it is more the latter then a speech-language therapist who works in the area of feeding and swallowing might be a good place to start. How old is your child and what sorts of foods are they currently eating? edited by plum2 on 23/01/2012 It's for a 13 month old who refuses to eat. He does not want any solid food (purees, crackers, etc). Mum needs an expert's opinion on what the issues may be as she's tried everything.
