Hi ladies,
Im pregnant again after miscarrying at 7 weeks in January, my beta hcg was 70 on week fourth that's quite low but that might be too early.my progesterone was 12 so I'm on cyclogist 400 mg twice a day and my thyroid levels are bit higher also so doctor double the dose of elthyroxine.
My pregnancy is going on high risk as im also having some spotting like brown discharge so I'm on bed rest till next appointment that's on 4 th August, I need so many prayers coming in as I desperately want this baby don't want to lose again.
Is anyone gone through same thing and had a successful pregnancy.please do share your thoughts as I really need some hopes :(
Thx.

Hi Zeynab, I am so sorry to read about your loss.I cannot imagine how you must feel. A good friend of mine had this happen to her 3 times and DR told her there was nothing she could do. She approached a fertility clinic for further investigation and turns out getting pregnant wasn't a problem but carrying it was as her body wouldn't produce enough lining in the womb to maintain the pregnancy. She was given lots of hormones to take and managed to carry 2 children to term. I am not suggesting for one moment that this is your problem rather suggesting that perhaps you should contact a fertility centre to see if its worth investigating further.

I also had brownish dishcharge at implantation and then bright red bleeding at 10 weeks with my first DD.With DD2 i had bright red bleeding at 28 weeks. Both pregnancys continued without any other problems and no cause could be found for the bleeds. The brownish dishcharge is very common my DR told me, the bright red causes a lot more concern and i had to have scans then. Good luck, will say a prayer for you.

Hi Zeynab. There was no reason behind my miscarriages. My doctor just told me that cyclogest and aspirin can help. I also took Pregnacare and an additional dose of folic acid. Why don't you try the baby aspirin? Ask your doctor about it. I felt good because I was able to try something new. Thinking of you. Xx Ps Conceived naturally edited by gingercat on 29/07/2012

Thanks gingercat, I feel broken today. Can u tell me u had missed miscarriage or what was reason behind that. Did you had all the test done before conception for 3 rd try or it just happened naturally. Now I'm really scared for conceiving again. It would be great if you can guide me with some piece of advice. As you can understand me at this stage.

If it gives you any comfort I had two early miscarriages close together. However I got pregnant one month later and I have a healthy baby asleep beside me now. I took cyclogest supposotories and baby aspirin daily. I started on the aspirin before I even conceived. Never give up hope. I had spotting for ten weeks with this baby and everything turned out fine. You are in my prayers x

I would maybe get a second opinion from another OBGYN, from the details you've given, only one previous early miscarriage and some brown spotting in early pregnancy I would say most Drs wouldn't be treating you as high risk or giving you any meds let alone bed rest etc. Maybe their is more to your medical history than the details you have given though and obviously I'm not a Dr. I haven't personally had brown spotting but many of my friends have, its very common in early pregnancy and generally if you show no other symptoms most Drs are not remotely concerned by it. Fingers crossed for you that all is well.
