I've followed the Gina Ford Potty Training in One Week book for all 4 of my children. With the first 3, had no issues :) They were all clean & dry just after their second birthdays.
With my youngest, who is now 25/26 months old, she's been having nappy off time for a few hours every day for several months, and was happy to sit/use the potty/toilet too. I have 'officially' started training her since Friday, and she's been doing very well.
Only I have encountered a problem. Suddenly, she is reluctant to use the big toilet, only wants to use the potty. Not a big deal, but yesterday I went out with her for the first time with no nappy. She obviously needed a wee, so we tried the public toilets, which she briefly sat on, but unsuccesfully. I also then tried to get her to use the Tomme Tippee Potette (travel potty) which I had used with my elder children. Again, no success. So unfortunately she did have an accident before we got home :(
Today, I have hidden the potty at home, so she has no choice but to use the big toilet. Is this OK? Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
