My DS has the same problem, left testicle was undescended by birth. He had surgery when he was 1.5 years old for this problem. At that time it was ok. Now we again noticed that the teticle is not there. Is there anyone had similar experience , i am really worried about it ? Can you please tell us how was the experience with the Dr ? Will this surgery will be covered in insurance ? If not, what was the cost of the surgery ? What are your recommemdations for Dr and Hospitals? What they will do to prevent if from going up after the surgery. Hey, My DS had the operation 3 years ago (when he was 1), it was done here at the American hospital by a fantastic paediatric urinary tract surgeon (i am desperately trying to remember his name! lovely guy) The Dr operates at few hospitals & has his own clinic. I will call our normal Dr. Tomorrow & ask him. DS was fine no problems at all, we went in a 7am & where home by mid-afternoon (little kids cope so much better) General anaesthetic, the op took about 1 hour. He has no visible scars from the 2 incisions. Anyway email me on laura-vanderlinden @ hotmail. Com i will track the Dr’s name down for you. Laura
