Hi
I have just found out aim pregnant possibly 4-5 weeks . It's my first and very Nervous about the next 9 months, especially when all family are in uk! I have Oman insurance with work and I am covered for maternity at Medcare or welcare or Canadian hospital. Can anyone recommend any obstetricians? Also when do I need to make first appointment!?? Ahhhh all so confusing! X

Hi Does anyone recommend any other obs at Medcare as dr shiva and luthra sem to be a little hard for my liking???! I went to see an obs at Medcare jumeriah clininic called dr samah who seemed fine , but as its my first I have nothing to compare too! X Have you met Dr.Luthra...she comes across as strict disciplinarian but is very thorough....worth a consultation with her and then you can make up your mind.

i can recommend Dr.Naglaa at welcare. She is american-egyptian I believe..chirpy lady with a great personality and quick to respond on email or text for emergency questions! I also cant say enough good things about the Head Midwife there Amanda Retief, delightful south african lady, very experienced, and no-nonsense - loved her. good luck with your pregancy, take it all in and enjoy it :) edited by Ayda247 on 02/01/2013
