I have just discovered I'm pregnant and we are moving to Dubai at the beginning of Jan when I will be 10 weeks pregnant. We are planning to be back in the UK (all being well) in June for two months and I will hopefully have the baby there. I've been told by my GP that I can have an early 12 week scan here before we leave for Dubai (even though I will only be 10 weeks by then), but I wondered about having other consultations and the 20 week scan once we're in Dubai.
I'm not sure I'll be covered by insurance as we'll only just be starting cover in Jan and there may be a wait time until I am covered for maternity costs. Does anyone know how much a scan and/or a consultation would cost?
