If you are interested in Makaton, contact Prit Chouhan, she is the Makaton Regional Trainer Tel: 050 774 0734 [email protected] I know she runs baby sign language classes at Favourite Things in Dubai, she can let you know if she runs classes in AD. Prit also sells the Something Special CD's. We had some private lessons with her but ended up choosing ASL for our son. If you are interested in ASL, perhaps consider Baby Signing Time by Rachel Coleman? You can google this program, or look on YouTube for some sample videos. HTH!

Have you considered Makaton? It's also a form of sign language using signs and symbols. www.makaton.org I found this easier to pick up, and my DS picked it up quite quickly too. The BBC do a wonderful children's programme called "Something Special" which incorporates all the makaton signs too, but, I'm not sure how you'd access them here, other than watching them on your pc. I'm not sure about courses in AD, but your best bet would perhaps be to ask a Speech Therapist there? Not sure if I've been of any help lol!
