Starting IVF next week

After TTC for almost 5 years and recently finding out both my tubes are blocked and have a low egg reserve, I start IVF next week. I underwent a Hysteroscopy/Polypectomy/D&C two weeks ago at City Hospital which went absolutely perfect. I had a small polyp removed and had a 'scratch'. I was on such a high then and felt very positive about conceiving through IVF but now I'm starting to feel very apprehensive, worried and even scared. I keep having a re-occurring dream about the process and being told that it's been unsuccessful.
I'm not sure why I'm writing this on here but I'm thinking its because no-one apart from my DH and I know about it. Having IVF with Dr Wael at DGFC so would appreciate any success stories to alleviate my worries. TIA

Hello Sunshine, I just wanted to ask you, when were you handed over back to your regular gynecologist from Fakih?. I am 10 weeks pregnant through IVF from Fakih and have my NT scan in 2 weeks. I'm hoping they will hand me over after that. Nothings covered in my insurance at Fakih and the cost is increasing with every visit.

Not everything is going to go exactly as planned. There should be someone available because ivf can't be scheduled sun-Thursday... If they are closed and you can't get hold of them-take it easy tomorrow. Go out for breakfast or a movie with your DH and let the dr decide what can be done. It's out of your hands!

Thank you Sunshine for taking the time to respond. DGFC are only open Sunday-Thursday so I am not going to be able to speak to anyone tomorrow. I am so upset that after getting my hopes up that I will start IVF on Sunday that I might now have to wait yet another month. It feels like there are so many obstacles in my way at the moment and I'm finding it so hard to stay positive. Thank you for your words of encouragement.

Hi dorisdaydream, I would call the clinic first thing tomorrow morning, if you are ready they might start you off then. I don't have any experience with DGFC (I used Dr Fakih) but I am sure their staff would be able to help you. Remember to (try) relax. We were lucky to have success with our first attempt as were all of my friends that did ivf/icsi. And we would all do it again! Stay positive and good luck for tomorrow!

Mother nature has thrown a spanner in the works. Not due to start my period for another 4 days but started today. Periods must be a bit erratic after the hysteroscopy. I have an appointment on sunday to start IVF (2 days prior to when I should have started my period) but now that i've started I don't know if I should cancel and wait for another month or still go and see if I can still try this month. Any help/advise appreciated.
