Hi ladies,

I have a 2 & 3year old. Usually they are great eaters and not in any way fussy.

But in the past few weeks they have become a complete nightmare at almost every meal. I am giving them any new by mostly just what I normally give them. But most dinners have just been completely refused. I have tired bringing dinner bit early to ensure they aren't tired and also tried to not give them too much in between meals in case they weren't hungry but nothing seems to be helping.

I am very worried stressed and almost at breaking point. They go to nursery and seemingly eat fine there.

Has anyone got any advice on what I could or should not be doing.

Please help me!!

They won't starve themselves. My 3.5 year old is going through picky stages lately, too. The kid will often say "I don't want breakfast," later grab a little snack on the way out the door (I know it's never enough, but it's all he'll take) but then pick through his lunch bag that is supposed to be his food for nursery. My suggestions: Don't become a short order cook. Make one meal and if they want it, that's their option. Yes, you can offer something you're fairly certain they will like, but don't get into the routine of catering to their every whim when it comes to meals or you'll set a very bad precedent and run yourself ragged. Offer but don't force it. Some of this could just be them developing independence. Given their ages, they could also be "feeding" off each other's drive for independence, too, and copying each other in the process. Trust they won't starve themselves. They will eat when hungry.
