I see alot of recommendations for City as it's so new etc.. but is American still comparable? Has anyone experienced both or American recently?

So would it be best to go for one of these hospitals over medcare, even though medcare would be way more convenient?

Yes, the American Hospital Mat Ward is newer. I had a c-section at City and the facilities and everyone and everything was top notch. I have heard the same with American from friends who've had c-sections there, very happy. I truly believe both these hospitals are very, very good. I would have my 2nd baby at either of these 2 hospitals.

City Hospital is newer so facilities isnt dated, thats why its popular. I think you will find the new extension at American Hospital is much 'newer'

I had a C section in January with Dr Braithwaite, at American Hospital ,it was an emergency and i could not have had better care anywhere, they were professional, caring and very efficient they made what could have been a very distressing experience a positive one. Every member off staff involved in my care were fab, i would deffo recommend AH.
