Hi Ladies! My 14 week old son has recently started getting into the craziest sleeping positions after his dream feed :\: He rolls onto his side with his back really arched & stuffs his wee podgy legs through the bars of his crib!He sleeps in a sleep bag yet still manages to get stuck. He also shimmys up his crib so his head is pressed against the wooden frame. I know this isn't dangerous per se as he quickly alerts me when he is uncomfortable however I am now getting up 4+ times a night to dislodge the wee soul! I am considering using a Cot Bumper to prevent him injuring himself but whilst so many parents use them there is a lot of literature branding them unsafe. Any ideas please? TIA

I also bought the Airwrap bumber that kiwispiers mentioned... no risk of suffocation and no little arms or legs poking through the cot bars. Win, win! ;)

just make sure you tuck it right in down the sides so that it can't be loosened and act like some kind of duvet.

TIA Hi Gilly3, I have an active sleeper too. I put on the cot bumpers and tied them tight so the little one cant haul them off. ever since then we have had no trapped ares or legs. I put them on when she was about the same age as your DS and she is now 6 months and have no bumper related problems.
