DS has developed an obsession with undoing the velcro straps on my Dad's sandals. Does anyone know of any toys with velcro on them?!

Oh, wheels... I should just sterilise the pram wheels and let him play with them! Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try and organise myself some me-time to go to the shops over the weekend :).

My daughter has the same obsession with velcro!!! Some cot and pram toys do come with them, I have some from Babyshop. But she has this plastic pizza that she got for her birthday that she loves - really strange! But it's in slices, with Velcro on the sides, which they're meant to put together - I bet that'll do the trick! Her nursery has the same thing as a cake as well. I think I've seen them in ELC. Good luck! x

Many toys that are meant to attach to a pram or cot do so with velcro. DS had a worm from Early Learning Center that attaches to the pram with velcro, I think they still have those at the moment. Or wrist rattles from Mothercare. But... I don't know if it's my imagination but velcro on children's toys seems to be more gentle than the real thing, doubt if you will get the same noise as DH's sandals. Show it to your DS in the shop to see if it interests him. My guess is no - I just went through something similar - my DS is sooo fascinated with wheels at the moment, especially dirty yucky ones like the wheels on his pram.... but in toy format (have eagerly bought him a baby car, baby tractor...)... no interest whatsoever :)

He just loves anything with that noise! Sandals, the velcro on the inside of the travel cot he's currently sleeping in, the velcro on the back of his bib... I wanted to find something we could take out and about with us without getting funny looks for having a sandal attached to his bumper bar :D.
