Hi all

I just found out this morning that I am pregnant. Just a home test, but I have been feeling terrible this week, but am only 4 weeks into it.

Anyways, totally stressed about it all because I have no idea where to start. I don't have a regular gynae, been once here to remove IUD, then nothing. I have insurance through my husband's company that does cover maternity.

What do I do now?

FYI I usually go to doctors at DLC so thought perhaps to go to gynae there. Any suggestions?

TIA

Congratulations! And sorry to hear you're feeling rough. There's nothing quite like it, so put your feet up, get your DH to wait on you hand and foot and milk it :D. You'll be fine to go to the gynae at DLC if that's where you're happy to go for now. You basically have two options for delivery - a hospital-based obstetrician or one based out of a community clinic who delivers at a selected hospital. Once you've had the blood tests to confirm your pregnancy (and maybe a scan or two - they like to do that here and it's reassuring) you can look at choosing an obstetrician and hospital. Good luck!
