I am still trying to think what type of bed to buy for the baby. I think I would like to have the baby in our room at the beginning, at least till he learns not to wake up a lot at night . I want something very convenient. I will be going back to work after 1 1/2 - 2 months. We have a big bed and I saw this type of basinnet, do you think it is a good idea to have one or similar?, or any other recommendation?. Thank you

I've always liked Co sleeping with my babies. DS 1 loved it too, but DS 2 was always happier on his own so I had him in a Moses basket on a stand beside my bed. At 4 months I moved him in to his cot in his room and he's much happier. The point I'm trying to make is, some babies just don't like co sleeping, so be prepared for an alternative too. It may also not suit your DH, so think about that too. My DH loved it, but I have had friends tell me their DH's hated co sleeping as were constantly woken by the baby's sounds throughout the night and thus went to work knackered. Also, as you will be going back to work quite soon after, You may get a better nights sleep if baby was in his/her own little bed. Then again, you may sleep better and feed easier with baby beside you. You will have to wait and see I'd say.
