Any ideas?
I've had a tummy bug for 5 days now (diarrhea not vomiting). I have been to the Dr and waiting results and in the meantime I am eating 3 smaller than normal meals a day, drinking lots of water and from yesterday, taking electrolytes. I am also exclusively breastfeeding a 10 week old baby. I know it hasn't affected the supply much (not full to exploding each morning but still seem to be providing milk when necessary.
But does anyone know if 5 days of diarrhea will affect the quality? Baby seems unaffected at the moment.
Just wondered...

aww, sorry to hear you're poorly - and yes, it'll be more to do with you keeping your fluids up than anything not going into your milk. Part of the pregnancy weight is reserves for just such an eventuality!

Just make sure you keep your fluids up and you should be fine.

Sorry you're not well :(. Some mums find that their supply may drop temporarily during a GI bug, but quality of milk is *not* affected and composition is unchanged. HTH! Feel well soon xx
