Hi all,
I have recently found out I am pregnant and am planning to deliver at home (EU) but before I go I would like to have a 7 week scan just to make sure there is actually a baby there! I am currently 5 weeks.
I have no insurance as I am currently still on a tourist visa. Does anyone know any place to get a scan (I can pay for it myself). I prefer to have the scan only and not a whole prenatal package.
Please let me know, any tips available!

Thanks! For me it was a complete surprise but I have been feeling very PMSsy, tired, headaches, hungry, dizzy, etc. I will think about the scan at 12 wks, it's just that going back home is such a big deal that I just want to have seen the heart beat, before I get on a plane etc. But I will think about it. Good luck with your pregnancy, enjoy it!

I went to mediclinic at knowledge village and got a scan at 6 wks (bleeding). it cost 930 dhs for consultation and scan. I have insurance so just had a co payment of this. In the UK you wouldn't usually go for a scan until around 12 wks as a dating scan and then they do other checks then so if you want to save the money as it is expensive here might be a thought to wait until nearer 12 wks. Only 2 scans during pregnancy in UK at 12wks and 20wks. Here it is every appointment (was with my last baby). I am 7 wks and don't feel pregnant just sore bre@sts. Good luck x
